It is always much more convenient if someone comes to visit you rather than you visit them. Moreover if they are able to come on your day off, at or after work, or even at home at weekends without costing any more what could be better?
Some people work in town and catch the late train home or are habitual late workers or run their own business. Our last appointment is 9:30pm and our earliest is 6:30am for early birds which accomodates most lifestyles.
A solicitor will charge a couple of hundred pounds to leave his office and as a result one old lady we know of in Wokingham was charged £1,500 for her Will in 1996. Her son was the executor and was as surprised as we were at such a large bill for such a relatively straightforward Will. It is presumed she had several visits.
Being interviewed at home is much more relaxed than in a strange office where time is often at a premium and billed in 6 minute intervals!
To work more efficiently we try to arrange 2 or 3 appointments on the same day in the same district to keep costs down and over the years this system has worked very well for both our clients and our consultants.
We do not send any salesmen round either. Our consultants are the Will Writers themselves, and are fully trained and insured to write Wills. Both have years of experience behind them too which means there are rarely any occasions where they have not encountered similar family situations before.
Interviews are very necessary too, because invariably something arises which would otherwise have been missed to the detriment of all concerned.
